About the role
WorkPac are seeking an engaging and safety-focused CMS Supervisor to join our Maintenance Projects team with Rio Tinto in Dampier. You will lead and mentor contractor activities across a diverse portfolio, ensuring safe execution and capital project delivery. This is a key role for a self-starter who thrives under pressure, with a strong focus on contractor safety leadership. While primarily day shift, occasional night shifts are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all CMS processes are followed with thorough documentation and risk assessments
- Provide CMS support for all site activities
- Facilitate pre-start meetings and liaise with contract teams
- Issue high-risk work permits to contractor partners
- Conduct in-field verifications of safety tools (CRM, Pre-task hazard assessments
- Communicate safety incidents and banners across the business
- Supervise and drive safe execution practices
- Perform contractor performance reviews with vendor partners
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for contractor management processes
- Support initiation and delivery of capital projects
Skills and Experience Required
- Proven experience in Contractor Management and Supervision
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on safety and inclusiveness
- Ability to coach, develop, and lead diverse teams
- Skilled in managing multiple programs of change and continuous improvement
- Current "C Class" WA Manual Drivers License
- Trade background in electrical, boilermaking, or mechanical fitting beneficial
- Experience in project management beneficial
