About the role
Based in Melbourne we are seeking an enthusiastic, passionate, and reliable person to join our growing team. You will lead the Finance function and continue to develop your strong skillset in a rapidly growing, purpose-driven industry. The role would mainly be working on utility wind, solar PV, battery, and H2 projects across Australia which are under business development, construction, or operating stage.
Supported by the Directors your key responsibilities will include:
* Manage bookkeeping and drive continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices.
* In charge of the preparation of monthly/quarterly/semesterly/yearly closings and audited financial statements.
* Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, organize payments, monitor collections in a timely manner.
* Manage monthly and yearly tax compliance, which is largely outsourced to Tax Advisors.
* Managing and acting as the first point of contact for external auditors, tax agent, payroll agent, corporate secretary, banks, and other professionals for all corporate compliances and corporate actions if any.
* Prepare and monitor budgeting & forecasting whenever is required by the project stakeholders and HQ Finance Team.
* Working with Asset Management / Business Development / Project Finance Teams on reporting preparation and other financial data as required for internal or external communications.
* Assist with the administration of payroll.
* Support the legal team in relation to finance matters
* Assist CEO and Management on other matters when required.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
* Minimum bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance from a reputable University.
* Up to 3 years of experience as an Auditor in a reputable Audit firm is a plus.
* Holding a CPA certification or being currently enrolled in a CPA program.
* Highly proficient in spoken and written English.
* Strong excel skills, attention to detail, and ability to build strong working relationships across the Australian business.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $145,000.00 – $155,000.00 per year
