Contract Role
The Course Writer position is offered via independent contracts per unit of competency and will assist the College in the development of learning and assessment materials for new and existing vocational education qualifications. This includes units within the Certificate III in Fitness, Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (nutritional and dietetic support specialisation), Certificate IV in Massage Therapy, and Diploma of Remedial Massage.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Liaising with content/industry specialists involved in course development.
* Conducting research for learning and assessment materials as required.
* Developing and reviewing core learning and assessment materials including written materials, webinars, videos, assessment activities, facilitator (answer) guides and readings.
* Proofing all learning materials and assessments for formatting, educational and grammatical correctness.
* Developing and reviewing support materials for new courses.
Qualifications
* Qualifications in a relevant field (e.g. massage, fitness, allied health, health & wellness, naturopathy, nutrition, dietetics, etc.)
Skills And Experience
* 2 years full time industry experience (voluntary or paid) in a relevant field.
* Course development experience (preferably in the Vocational Education Sector)
* Well-developed communication, writing and interpersonal skills.
* Good level of computer literacy
Highly Desirable
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or willingness to work towards one)
