About the role
The Executive Director, School Leadership Institute provides high-level strategic leadership and advice to ensure the provision of evidence-informed, high quality leadership development programs and resources to build the capabilities of current school leaders and prepare future leaders of more than 2,200 public schools across NSW.

About you
You are a forward-thinking leader with expertise in designing, delivering and embedding leadership development programs which are responsive to the needs of the profession.
With a strong commitment to the value of public education and service excellence, you bring the ability to foster a culture that embraces change and innovation, continuous development and improvement whilst maintaining commitment to high levels of efficacy and outcomes.
You will join an executive team focused on driving improved ways of working to deliver meaningful and long-lasting impact. You will be collaborative, courageous, agile, and disciplined about delivering outcomes for the students of NSW.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Appropriate tertiary teaching qualifications in a relevant discipline such as education, business, management, social sciences or communications, and/or equivalent knowledge and experience. Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
Demonstrated extensive experience at a senior level in the management in a large complex organisation.
Demonstrated knowledge, experience and expertise in andragogy with strong communication and presentation skills.
As a condition of employment, successful candidates
As a condition of employment, successful candidates who have not previously worked for the department will be required to provide a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) Clearance number. This option would allow the WWCC to naturally expire without further communication needed with the employee. The employer obligations under the WWCC would apply for duration of the WWCC's validity (up to 5 years).
