The Craigie Tavern is a family owned and operated local Tavern, located in the Northern suburb of Craigie, Western Australia. The Tavern features a Bistro, Lounge Bar, Sports Bar with TAB facilities and a Bottle Shop.
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Duty Manager with strong attention to detail and a passion for customer service, to join our management team, and assist with the day-to-day operations across all areas of the establishment.
This is an ideal position for a suitably experienced hospitality manager, who will bring a positive attitude, is team orientated and demonstrates strong leadership skills.
About you
* Have at least 1 year management experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, particularly with bar and restaurant experience.
* Be able to assist the Management team with all aspects of operations and lead by example with a hands‑on approach.
* Ability to liaise with others to ensure the smooth running of shifts, whilst maintaining high service standards, in a fast‑paced environment and being under pressure.
* Have experience with mentoring staff, training and development.
* Have excellent communication skills, a neat presentation and a strong work ethic.
* Have knowledge of relevant liquor and food service requirements, as well as licensing requirements.
* Must be reliable, honest, trustworthy, organised and have good time‑management skills.
* Have flexibility to work a rotating roster across 7 days a week (including public holidays), which will include opening and closing the venue.
* Hold a valid police clearance, Australian drivers' licence, RSA certificate and food handling certificate.
* Must hold a current Western Australian Approved manager's card.
* Have or be willing to obtain TAB compliance certification.
* Forklift licence or willing to obtain one.
* First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain one.
