About The Role
The Teacher Assistant plays a vital role in supporting high‐quality learning outcomes for students. Working under the general direction of teachers, the successful applicant will assist in delivering educational programs, supporting student engagement, and contributing to a safe, inclusive and faith‐filled learning environment. This role requires a kind, flexible and student‐focused professional who can work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, families and volunteers.
Key Responsibilities
* Support teachers in delivering educational programs and interventions.
* Assist students individually or in small groups across a range of learning areas.
* Use discretion and judgement to support diverse learning needs and monitor progress.
* Assist with preparation and organisation of learning materials.
* Work positively with teachers, support staff and the wider school community.
* Build respectful relationships with students, colleagues and families.

* Committed to supporting student learning and wellbeing.
* Able to relate to students with diverse needs.
* Collaborative, adaptable and dependable.
* Skilled in literacy, numeracy and problem‐solving.
* Professional, discreet and able to exercise sound judgement.
Essential Requirements
* Valid Working with Vulnerable People Registration.
* Current and satisfactory National Police Criminal History Check (NPCHC).
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
* Certificate III in Education Support (or working towards).
* Experience supporting students with additional needs.
* Education sector experience.
* Current First Aid Certificate.
