The opportunity
We’re looking for a detailed and curious Assistant Accountant or Accountant to join our collaborative Finance team. In this role, you’ll help drive accuracy, integrity and insight across our financial operations, contributing directly to our firm’s performance and long-term impact.
Reporting to our Finance Manager, you’ll be responsible for:
* Reviewing and processing employee expense claims using Chrome River
* Supporting the month-end close with journal preparation, reconciliations, and reporting
* Maintaining the fixed asset register and processing depreciation journals
* Preparing monthly and quarterly BAS returns, and supporting FBT and annual tax return processes
* Assisting with year-end audit deliverables and statutory reporting
* Participating in payment reviews and liaising with the Accounts Payable team
* Contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and finance process improvements
* Pitching in wherever needed to assist the wider Accounting and Finance function.
What you bring
* A degree in accounting or a related field
* You’re CPA-qualified or on the path (we’ll support you along the way)
* 2-3 years’ relevant accounting experience
* Strong attention to detail, with a knack for solving problems and getting things right
* Confidence with Excel and accounting software (Chrome River experience a plus)
* A team-first mindset and willingness to get involved beyond your job description
