We are committed to innovation and growth, with a focus on expanding our digital sales channels and enhancing the customer experience both online and in person.Position OverviewThe Digital Wine Sales & eCommerce Coordinator is a part-time role dedicated to driving the growth of Somm Wine Merchants' online sales channel.
This position is fundamentally different from a traditional sales agent role: the focus is on digital strategy, website/shop management, and data-driven growth, with supplementary responsibilities as a brand ambassador, including select face-to-face tastings and sales support.Key ResponsibilitiesOnline Sales Channel Growth (Primary Focus)Manage and optimise the Somm Wine Merchants website and Shopify store to maximise online sales and conversion rates.Merchandise the online store, ensuring accurate product listings, compelling content, and seamless user experience.Implement and monitor digital marketing campaigns (SEO, email, social media, paid ads) to drive traffic and grow the customer base.Analyse web and sales data using Google Analytics and Shopify reports to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.Collaborate with external agencies and internal teams to deliver digital content, promotions, and campaigns on schedule.Continuously improve the customer journey, from discovery to checkout, ensuring a market-leading online experience.Brand Ambassador & Sales Support (Secondary Focus)Represent Somm Wine Merchants and its portfolio brands at select in-person tastings, pop-up events, and activations to support brand awareness and customer engagement.Provide face-to-face support at key events, including product tastings and launches, acting as a knowledgeable and approachable brand representative.Support the execution of digital and in-person brand activations and campaigns to enhance brand visibility and engagement.Assist with the creation of engaging content (blog posts, product stories, social media) that reflects the values and quality of our brands.Administration & Executive SupportProvide administrative support to Somm Wine Merchants Executives, including CRM updates, reporting, and workflow management.Assist with logistics and coordination for online promotions, digital campaigns, and occasional events.About YouDemonstrated passion for good food and wine.Demonstrated experience in eCommerce, digital marketing, or online retail (Shopify, WordPress, or similar platforms).Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights.Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to create engaging digital content and represent brands in person.Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.Passion for wine and digital innovation; WSET or wine industry experience is a plus but not essential.Proficiency with digital marketing tools (SEO, email, social media, Google Analytics) and a keen eye for user experience.Comfortable presenting and engaging with customers at tastings and events.Why Join Us?Be at the forefront of digital transformation in the wine industry.Play a pivotal role in shaping Somm Wine Merchants' online growth strategy.Work with a passionate, family-run team and a diverse portfolio of premium South Australian wines.To apply, please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience and vision for growing online wine sales at Somm Wine Merchants to ******
