BENEFITS Immediate start in this contract role paying $55 - $65 per hour Super 35 hour week, immediate start in this 6 month contract with possibility for extension A great team culture that prioritises flexibility and work life balance ABOUT THE POSITION We are seeking a dedicated Property Manager to join our Local Council team in New South Wales. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing and enhancing the council's property portfolio, ensuring that assets are effectively utilized to serve the community's needs. DUTIES Property Portfolio Management: Assist in administering the council's property assets, including leasing, licensing, acquisitions, and disposals. Ensure all transactions align with council objectives and comply with relevant legislation. Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with property owners, tenants, valuers, and internal departments to facilitate property transactions and address related matters. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement management plans for council-owned properties, including Crown Land, to optimize their use and benefit to the community. Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all property dealings adhere to statutory requirements. Prepare detailed reports, submissions, and correspondence related to property matters. Project Coordination: Manage property-related projects, including public notifications and report writing, to support informed decision-making. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Property Management, Real Estate, Law, or a related field, or demonstrated equivalent experience. Experience: Proven experience in property management or a similar role, preferably within a local government context. Knowledge: Understanding of relevant legislation, including the Local Government Act 1993, Crown Land Management Act 2016, and Aboriginal Land Rights Act 1983. Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical abilities with attention to detail.
