Kogan People Solutions, recruiters, are working to assist our client, a well-established North Indian restaurant known for its warm hospitality and exceptional service. The restaurant offers an authentic Indian dining experience, with a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere that reflects traditional Indian culinary heritage. The menu includes classic North Indian dishes, street-style snacks, and a wide range of tandoori breads, curries, and Indian sweets.
With a dedication for excellence and quality service in mind, our client is now seeking a new Cook to join their happy and productive kitchen team.
- Cuisine focus – North Indian cuisine and traditional dishes
- Tenure – Full time and ongoing
- Salary – negotiable in the range $75k to $80k plus superannuation per annum
Responsibilities of our Cook will include:
- High standard meals preparation and quality control (checks of raw materials, temperature controls).
- Ensure compliance of the HACCP system regarding food handling procedures.
- Portion and plate foods in accord with company policy and procedures.
- Hygienic food storage in refrigerators.
- Training of kitchen staff and apprentices as required.
About you:
- You have a passion for cooking – you want to produce the finest.
- You have a well organised working style – able to cheerfully meet demanding work requirements.
- You can work independently, and as part of a team, and have an excellent communication style.
- You have a passion for the hospitality industry and are up to date on techniques and food trends.
- You have an unwavering commitment to flavour and presentation of the highest quality.
To be successfully considered for the role you:
- Possess relevant Certificate IV or agreed substitute.
- Have at least 3 or more, years of relevant work experience since earning your qualifications.
- Are available across the working week, including weekends.
- Offer proven ability to prioritise, set goals and have the determination to achieve them.
- Possess a thorough understanding of food safety and HACCP.
- Have experience working in a similar cuisine and professional environment.
You must have unrestricted full time Australian working rights to be considered.
