On behalf of our client, a trailblazer in control systems and electrical engineering, we’re excited to recruit a talented Senior Control Systems Engineer for an immediate start in Brisbane.

The Role
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Brisbane, offering a salary range of $150,000–$170,000 per year. As a Senior Control Systems Engineer, you’ll take a hands-on leadership role, working alongside management and a skilled engineering team to craft and implement automation solutions that elevate industry benchmarks.
What You’ll Do
1. Design and deploy advanced automation systems using PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA technologies.
2. Oversee projects from concept to completion, ensuring flawless delivery and team coordination.
3. Offer on-site expertise for commissioning, troubleshooting, and system optimization.
4. Create comprehensive technical documentation and project updates.
5. Ensure adherence to safety, industry, and client-specific standards.
6. Build and nurture strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring
1. A degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a similar field.
2. At least 7 years of experience in control systems engineering.
3. Exceptional attention to detail, reliability, and documentation prowess.
4. Proven ability to lead projects and inspire teams.
5. A valid driver’s license.
6. You MUST have either citizenship or a visa allowing you to work in the Brisbane region (no regional visas please).
Standout Skills
These will give you an edge:
1. Expertise with Rockwell or Siemens PLC platforms.
2. Hands-on experience with HMI/SCADA systems like FactoryTalk View or PlantSCADA/CitectSCADA.
3. Knowledge of virtualization tools such as VMWare.
4. Exposure to manufacturing, water, or food sectors valued.
5. Registration with Engineers Australia.
