Where You'll be Working
Lismore Base Hospitalis a regional referral Level 5 base hospital providing a wide range of health services, including a state-of-the-art Operating Theatre Suite, Intensive Care/Cardiac Care Unit, General Medical and Surgical Wards, Women's Care Unit, Paediatric Unit, Renal Unit, Emergency Department, Medical Imaging, Cardiac Catheter Laboratory, Mental Health Inpatient Units, the North Coast Cancer Institute, Pathology, Pain Management Clinic and Specialist Outpatient Clinics.
The position may also require you to work at Ballina District and Casino & District Memorial Hospitals.
Lismore and other NNSWLHD hospitals and facilities are located in the Rainbow Region, known for waterfalls, farming land, artistic villages and relaxed seaside communities.
The area is close to the Ballina & Byron Shires, famous surf breaks and holiday destinations, and rich hinterland communities.

Eligibility
Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Anaesthetist, and/or specialist international medical graduate pathways.
Demonstrated recent clinical experience in Anaesthesia with comprehensive services, including elective, emergency, acute pain and perioperative services and extensive regional anaesthesia practice.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
Demonstrated effective clinical communication through IT and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.
Availability and willingness to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time.
