The Mount Evelyn Primary School OSHC service is seeking a professional, Early Childhood qualified educator to join our team as the Responsible Person in a permanent full-time capacity.
The Mount Evelyn Primary School Outside School Hours Care service is a successful, school council operated OSHC service located in Mount Evelyn and Woori Yallock in the Yarra Valley. Our OSHC service, established in February 2000, provides an exceptional service that nurtures children¿s development through safe, fun, and engaging care programs. We cater to children aged 5 years to 13 years across our two services located at the 120 placement service at Mount Evelyn PS and the 70 placement service at Woori Yallock PS.
Our service fosters a supportive, collaborative work environment and operates year round from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm, Monday to Friday, inclusive of the school term breaks, but excluding public holidays and a three-week closure over Christmas/New Year. The service runs from a dedicated space as well as utilising school facilities.
The Mount Evelyn service is currently rated as ¿Exceeding¿, with the Woori Yallock service rated as ¿Meeting¿

Selection Criteria
SC1. Demonstrated ability to lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of engaging and age-appropriate OSHC educational programs.
SC2. Experience ensuring compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and National Law and Regulations and maintaining accurate records and documentation.
SC3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, staff, and the school community.
SC4. Strong leadership skills, including experience in supervising and guiding a team of educators including a commitment to professional learning and growth of yourself and others.
SC5. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities effectively
SC6. Comprehensive knowledge of child safe standards and proven experience in implementing child safe practices and promoting a culturally safe and inclusive environment.
Role
As the nominated Responsible Person in charge of the service, you will lead the before, afternoon and vacation care programs providing support and guidance to other educators, ensuring the smooth operation of the service and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Your position will include building respectful and responsive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, with confidence in daily interactions. Your leadership, sound judgement, and commitment contribute to the wellbeing of children and the effective operation of the service-learning environment. You will work closely with leadership team daily requiring programming and other administration duties.
About You:
* able to work full-time Monday to Friday 6.15am-10.00am & 2:30pm - 6:30pm (negotiable)
* hold Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent approved by ACECQA)
* ability to take on Responsible Person duties
* understand the Early Years Learning Framework, My Time our Place and National Quality Standard
* hold a current WWC Card
* hold current First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certificates (or ability to obtain)
* Completed Foundations of Child Safety Training Course 1 and 2 (GECCKO)
* Food handling certificate (or ability to obtain)
* have clear communication and respectful interactions with educators and families; and demonstrate professionalism, reliability, maturity, approachability and personable.

Other Information
Attendance requirement for this position is 5 days per week Monday to Friday. The shift is split with start and end times of 6.15am - 10.00am and 2.30pm - 6.30pm (negotiable)
Vacation care attendance for all term and end of year breaks is required, with shift hours changed to suit programing.
