Our Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum unit is the only OB Trauma Center in the Pittsburgh area. This unit consists of 1 OR, 10 labor and delivery beds, 8 postpartum, 5 triage, and 4 special care nursery beds. We average approximately 120 births per month with a nurse to patient ratio of 1 : 1 in active labor and 1 : 3, 1 : 4 couplet care.
This position requires cross training within the department.

Forbes Hospital is a 315-bed, Level II trauma hospital located in Monroeville. It offers service lines including trauma, neurosurgery, cardiothoracic surgery, interventional cardiology, obstetrics, and psychiatry, fostering strong community relationships.
The Registered Nurse assesses human responses and plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for individuals or families. The nurse is fully responsible for all actions as a licensed professional and is accountable for the quality of care delivered.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance
Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance
Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Clearance
Current PA RN license or multi-state licensure via eNLC
CPR certification
Preferred:
Specialty certification
