We're seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic team and support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen.
The Role
As Sous Chef, you will be hands-on in service, oversee kitchen operations, and mentor junior chefs. You'll work closely with the Head Chef on menu development, ensure consistency in every dish, and help maintain a kitchen culture that is professional, supportive, and ambitious.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead daily kitchen operations alongside the Head Chef.
* Supervise prep and service, ensuring quality and presentation meet modern Italian standards.
* Assist in developing seasonal menus, pasta specials, and creative small plates.
* Manage ordering, stock rotation, and minimise waste.
* Uphold food safety, hygiene, and OH&S requirements.
* Train and mentor junior chefs and apprentices.
About You
* Experience as a Sous Chef, or strong CDP/Junior Sous ready to step up.
* Passionate about Italian cuisine and produce
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Organised, reliable, and able to thrive under pressure.
* Creative mindset with respect for authentic Italian flavours.
