The Senior Manager Internal Audit is specific to the non-financial risk portfolio and seeks a seasoned leader, who brings composure, is comfortable to challenge effectively, and can navigate and lead through change. You'll make an impact by:
* Undertaking and leading reviews across the Group in an area that matches your chosen area of expertise, focusing on the effectiveness of the observed control environment.
* Providing effective assurance reporting and completion of reviews within required timeframes.
* As a senior leader within the Group Internal Audit function, contribute to the overall planning and development of Group Internal Audit function's goals and strategies and their achievement.
* Representing Group Internal Audit at both the Board and Management Committees when required (noting that this will be shared between other Senior Managers within Group Internal Audit, Head of GIA and General Manager, GIA).
* Managing and leading staff within the Group Internal Audit team.

This is a permanent full-time position. We offer flexible work options that put our people first, and a hybrid model of minimum three days per week based out of Melbourne, Adelaide and Bendigo.
What you'll bring to the role
To succeed in this role, we'd love you to have:
* Extensive experience in internal audit and risk management roles within the banking industry
* Experience and expertise across several non-financial risks including but not limited to:
operational, regulatory compliance, financial crime, products, service providers, conduct/culture and strategic risks (i.e. transformation / ESG)
* Proven ability to effectively evaluate control frameworks and make value add recommendations to management
* Ability to generate a productive team environment and co-ordinate resources across different areas to achieve results.
* Proven project management skills including time management, prioritisation, monitoring etc.
* Relevant tertiary qualification e.g., business or commerce
* Professional qualifications and membership to CA, CPA, IIA is required
