About the role
The Used Equipment Sales team is responsible for providing customers with "quality multi-price point" used equipment, covering all industries and market segments with an international market perspective.
This unique position, reporting to the Senior Manager Used Equipment, supports the growth of the business by procuring used equipment from across the globe and proactively driving sales of used equipment to customers who are interstate and overseas.
Duties and Responsibilities
Sourcing used equipment from brokers, end users and overseas Caterpillar dealerships to increase inventory for future sales
Working with shipping agents to support the coordination of equipment transport and import
Establishing strong customer relationships, to effectively market used equipment solutions to meet their operational needs
Developing a broad understanding of the market and factors impacting on sales opportunities to position the business for growth
Effectively negotiate with stakeholders to resolve customer complaints, escalating where required
Contributing to the rebuild strategy by sourcing cores and marketing rebuilds for sale
Meaningful maintenance of the Customer database via CRM
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have previous sales experience proactively driving customer solutions, while thinking strategically about how to maximise revenue opportunities.
A strong interest in heavy machinery and used equipment.
Enjoy operating across the supply chain where you can demonstrate your excellent coordination and stakeholder engagement skills.
An interest in developing an understanding of international shipping, quarantine and Government requirements relating to importation of used equipment into Australia.
Experience working effectively with a high degree of autonomy.
Strong work ethic and ability to support peers in a collaborative team environment.
Successful applicants will require :
A current and valid driver's licence
Current working rights for Australia
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications
Previous experience maintaining a meaningful CRM
