Job Title: Operations Manager

About the Role:

The Facility Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the Executive Manager Clinical and Hotel Services in meeting our strategic intent and objectives through the Operational Plan. Strong interpersonal skills, a high level of emotional intelligence, and effective stakeholder management are key competencies for successful delivery of Tasman's personalised services.

This role is accountable for the overall operational and financial management of Tasman and must ensure all teams comply with relevant legislation, manage risk effectively, and deliver care that encompasses a strong and positive wellbeing for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Monitor and manage Tasman's operations to achieve budget target occupancy levels.
2. Focusing on achieving positive returns from the facility's resources.
3. Managing the delivery of quality nursing services and care to recipients using a multidisciplinary approach.
4. Co-ordinating multidisciplinary meetings for quality outcomes.
5. Maintaining accurate documentation in accordance with regulations.
6. Providing feedback on outcomes from Continuous Improvement and Clinical activities.
7. Overseeing the nursing and assessment care planning process ensuring involvement of care recipients and/or their representatives.
8. Driving the Mission, Vision, and Values of the organisation.
9. Continuing participation in own self-development.
10. Acting as a clinical resource within Tasman.
11. Conducting and participating in performance appraisals.
12. Developing and facilitating staff induction programs.
13. Ensuring confidentiality regarding information.
14. Maintaining adequate staff levels for safe care delivery.
15. Responsible for staff annual leave plans.
16. Participating in Management meetings and other committees.
17. Identifying unsafe environments and work practices.
18. Implementing correct fire safety procedures.

About You:

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of contemporary practice and its application, demonstrate passion about clinical management, and have knowledge of legal requirements, relevant policies, and procedures. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution, are essential. The ability to act in a preceptor role and support and guide other members of staff is also required.
