Allied Health Assistant, Mental Health Inpatient Units About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Allied Health Assistant to join our Mental Health Inpatient Units team.

This is an opportunity to kick start your career in health, working collaboratively with our diverse Allied Health team while providing clinical and administrative support services.

Responsibilities
* Performing and assisting with activities under the supervision and direction of treating Allied Health Professionals
* Providing support to consumers to achieve their recovery goals
* Completing clinical and administrative support activities to promote the effective and efficient provision of Allied Health services.
* Maintaining a safe and supportive environment for patients and the multidisciplinary team
Employment Details

Employment Type: Casual opportunities available

Position Classification: Allied Health Assistant – Level 1-3

Remuneration: $31.86 - $36.02 per hour (+super + casual loading)

Our ideal candidate will
* Hold a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (or formal commitment to complete this training within 3 years of employment, or relevant qualification and willingness to complete required skill sets.)
* Show effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels with internal and external stakeholders.
* Understanding of the concept and principles of mental health recovery and commitment to implementing a strengths‐based model of care designed to facilitate consumer recovery.
