About This Role
Deliver culturally responsive speech pathology services to support the development of Aboriginal children, youth and their families.
This position involves providing assessment and therapeutic supports to individuals living with a range of disabilities, including neuro-developmental disabilities.
Services are delivered through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
* Assess and develop intervention plans for NDIS participants with speech sound disorders, expressive and receptive language delays and disorders, and emotional regulation skills.
* Implement Augmentative and Alternative Communication strategies to support social participation.
* Foster self-determination by facilitating choice and control over service delivery.
Requirements
* Bachelor of Speech Pathology or equivalent qualification with registration as a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP).
* Knowledge of community-based speech pathology services within a multidisciplinary team.
* Ability to work flexibly and creatively to provide responsive services.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
