Medical Assistant – Dermatology Practice
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support a dermatologist in delivering high-quality patient care. This role involves assisting during consultations, maintaining accurate records in medical software, and ensuring an excellent patient experience. The position is ideal for someone with prior experience in a medical or nursing environment who enjoys working closely with both patients and clinicians.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the dermatologist during consultations and with new patient assessments.
* Accurately document clinical notes and maintain electronic health records in Zedmed (the clinic's medical/patient record software program)
* Prepare and process prescriptions, referrals, and patient correspondence.
* Manage patient callbacks and follow-up communications.
* Support efficient patient flow through the consulting rooms.
* Apply strong knowledge of medical terminology in day-to-day duties.
* Contribute to a professional, compassionate, and well-organised practice environment.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a medical setting (nursing or clinical administration preferred).
* Familiarity with medical software (Zedmed experience an advantage, training provided).
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with patients and clinicians.
