We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Baker to join our team on a full-time basis.
About the Role
As a Baker at Goolwa Bakery, you will play a key role in the daily production of a wide range of baked goods. You will be responsible for ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency across all baking operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing, mixing, kneading, and baking a variety of breads, rolls, pastries, and specialty products
* Following established recipes and production schedules while maintaining high product standards
* Monitoring oven temperatures and baking times to ensure consistency and quality
* Checking the quality of raw ingredients and finished goods
* Operating and maintaining baking equipment safely and efficiently
* Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment in line with food safety standards
* Managing stock levels, rotating ingredients, and minimising wastage
* Contributing to new product ideas and continuous improvement of bakery offerings
* Working collaboratively with the team to meet daily production targets
Requirements
* Certificate III in Baking or Patisserie or equivalent qualification, or minimum 3 years' relevant commercial baking experience
* At least 2 years' post-qualification or equivalent industry experience
* Proven experience in artisan and commercial bread production
* Strong understanding of dough fermentation, baking processes, and quality control
* Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and under pressure
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team
