About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Sous Chef,or a senior CDP ready to take the next step, to join our kitchen leadership team. This role suits someone who enjoys working in a well-structured environment, takes pride in quality Italian food, and wants to grow alongside a supportive team.
You'll be working side by side with an Executive Chef who's on the tools and involved in service, not managing from a distance. You'll have ownership of your section, input into seasonal menus, and take a lead role during service, supporting the team alongside, and in the absence of the Executive Chef. For the right person, this position offers a clear pathway to a Head Chef role within the business.
Salary: $80,000–$90,000 + super
What You'll Be Doing
* Working closely with the Executive Chef to deliver smooth, consistent service.
* Taking ownership of sections and leading during service.
* Contributing ideas to seasonal menus and daily specials within our Italian framework.
* Supporting and mentoring junior chefs as part of a collaborative kitchen team.
* Maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and organisation.
What We're Looking For
You're an experienced and capable chef who enjoys being part of a professional, supportive kitchen. You may already be a Sous Chef, or a senior CDP ready to take the next step in the right environment.
You'll ideally have:
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (minimum).
* Experience in quality-driven, mid to high-volume kitchens.
* Confidence running a section and supporting service.
* A positive, team-focused approach and good communication skills.
* A genuine interest in Italian and European cuisine.
