We're seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer (Rail) to support a high-profile rail infrastructure and telecommunications program in Perth. This is a contract role with a strong focus on earthing, traction bonding and electrical assurance in a live rail environment.
In this position, you will:
* Prepare, review and sign off ITPs, ITRs, Electrical Design Certificates and Interdisciplinary Certificates.
* Lead and review electrical design, earthing and traction bonding for rail infrastructure (stations, tunnels, track).
* Validate interfaces, resolve design issues and ensure compliance with Australian Standards and WA regulations.
* Support testing, inspections and commissioning, including electrical and earthing testing methodologies in rail environments.
* Provide on-site support for inspections, testing and coordination with construction and commissioning teams.
* Prepare and review design bulletins and contribute to solution-focused project delivery.
You'll be a strong fit if you have:
* Proven electrical engineering experience in the rail sector (metro, passenger, light rail or heavy haul).
* Solid knowledge of earthing principles, traction bonding, rail safety standards and relevant Australian Standards.
* Experience with AC/DC systems, UPS, battery systems and protection requirements.
* Familiarity with configuration management (ECNs, deviations).
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
* High attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety, quality and compliance.
