The Role
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our Finance team on a full-time basis, working from our Mornington office. This is a hands-on role with a strong emphasis on accounts payable, supporting the day-to-day transactional finance operations of the business.
You'll be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier payments, maintaining clean reconciliations, and supporting month-end processes. The role will also support accounts receivable activities where required and contribute to ongoing system and process improvements as the business continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end accounts payable, including processing supplier invoices, payment runs, and expense reimbursements.
Ensure supplier invoices are accurate, approved, and processed in line with agreed terms.
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and resolve invoice or payment queries promptly.
Support accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, receipts, and follow-up of outstanding balances as required.
Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records across all ledgers.
Assist with month-end close, including journals and reporting support.
Support cash flow monitoring and payment scheduling.
Work closely with the Finance team on system improvements and automation initiatives.
Provide general finance and administrative support as required.
About You
* Proven experience in a Bookkeeper or similar transactional finance role, with a strong focus on accounts payable.
* Solid understanding of accounts payable processes, reconciliations, and month-end support.
* Hands-on experience with Xero or similar accounting software is required, with NetSuite experience essential.
* Experience using Airwallex or similar international payment platforms will be viewed favourably.
* High level of attention to detail with excellent numerical accuracy.
* Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
* Strong communication skills, comfortable liaising with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
* Able to work independently while contributing positively within a collaborative team.
