About your opportunity:
Step into a key leadership role shaping the future of Nutrition and Dietetics within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service. As the Assistant Director – Nutrition & Dietetics, you will lead a dedicated team of dietitians and nutrition assistants, driving excellence in patient care, professional governance, education and research across a dynamic and diverse tertiary health service.
This position offers the opportunity to influence service delivery across acute, rehabilitation, community and aged care settings, contributing to innovative models of care and evidence‑based practice. You will play a pivotal role in advancing high‑quality, patient‑centred nutrition services, supporting workforce development, and fostering interprofessional collaboration across one of northern Queensland's largest and most diverse health service regions.

Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.
* Salary range: $144,991 to $151,289 p.a. (HP5)
* 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
* 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
* Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
Role Requirements:
* Mandatory: tertiary degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from a recognised tertiary institution and eligibility for membership with the Dietitians Association of Australia and the Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) credential is a requirement for this role.
* Possession of class C drivers' licence.
* This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
* Probation period may apply.
* Pre-employment checks will be conducted, including criminal history clearance.
