This is a permanent, full-time role (85 hr. fortnight, with some weekend work on a rotating roster). You will work in a high biosecurity indoor unit (wash-in/wash-out) in a small team to ensure all daily tasks are completed.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Fostering/cross fostering of newly born (fallback) piglets, feed delivery, artificial insemination of sows, vaccination of sows and piglets, treating/medicating sick animals, high pressure washing of pens, assisting to prepare market pigs, data capture, and monitoring of environment (temperature and ventilation).
Successful applicant will have references to indicate that they are a team player and a qualification that demonstrates superior knowledge of pig farming practices and animal welfare.
