The Role: The Allied Health Assistant-Multidisciplinary assists with the daily functioning of Physiotherapy Services and Allied Health across the Southern Region of Tasmania in the provision of effective and efficient client care. They will exercise initiative and independent judgement in undertaking delegated tasks, under the direct and/or indirect supervision from physiotherapists, occupational therapists and other allied health professionals. This will include working within the areas of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy and may include other allied health services. The Allied Health Assistant role will include assisting clinicians in the rehabilitation and/or treatment of clients, including the transportation of patients to and from treatment areas, preparation of equipment for use in treatment and other related tasks. This role will suit: Someone interested in allied health or rehabilitation, including students or graduates seeking hands on experience supporting patients in hospital or community settings. A practical, organised team player who enjoys working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and can balance clinical support with administrative tasks.
