Position

Outside School Hours Care, Assistant Centre Director

Salary & Hours

$67,847.07 – $76,582.62 p.a. pro rata + 12% superannuation (based on 30 hours per week)

Responsibilities
* Assist the Centre Director in providing a high‐quality outside school hours care (OSHC) service for 90 to 140 primary school children aged 5‐12 years during school terms and holiday care.
* Assume the role and responsibilities of the Responsible Person in the absence of the Nominated Supervisor.
* Ensure the service meets the National Quality Standard and all requirements of the National Law and Regulations.
* Implement an inclusive, innovative and reflective educational program that meets the 'My Time Our Place' school‐age care framework.
* Develop and maintain effective relationships with children, families and the community.
* Contribute to a collaborative teamwork approach and serve actively within the Children Services team to provide high‐quality care for all children using the centre.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
* Demonstrated experience in an outside school hours care centre with children aged 5‐12 years.
* Knowledge and experience in developing, implementing and evaluating developmentally appropriate and inclusive OSHC programmes; familiarity with the 'My Time Our Place' school‐age care framework.
* Working knowledge of the current legislation governing OSHC services, including the National Quality Standard, National Law and Regulations, OSHC National Standards and NSW child‐protection legislative requirements.
* Proven leadership and staff supervision skills with a demonstrated commitment to teamwork and effective verbal and written communication; demonstrated interpersonal and conflict‐resolution skills.
* Administrative and organisational skills, including computer literacy and capacity to manage rosters, staffing schedules and compliance requirements.
* Proven ability to apply knowledge and evidence of the following: tertiary qualifications in Primary Education or OSHC at Associate Diploma level; current first aid certificate; completed approved courses in anaphylaxis and asthma management; completed approved child‐protection course; completed National Childsafe Foundation training.
