Overview General ManagerWe seek someone to be our operational backbone, ensuring Corrugated Iron runs smoothly while supporting the Executive Producer/CEO in organisational effectiveness, enabling them to lead the strategic, and artistic vision with children and young people.The General Manager balances operational rigour, including finance, HR, scheduling and compliance, with a strategic, for purpose mindset.
The General Manager takes responsibility for day-to-day internal operations ensuring programs run effectively and Corrugated Iron is resourced to deliver quality artistic experiences with children, young people and their communities across the Northern Territory.The General Manager is a collaborative, adaptive leader, skilled at navigating complexity, problem-solving in dynamic environments and able to support staff to deliver, safe, vibrant and impactful programs across the Northern Territory.We're looking for someone who can:Work collaboratively, with empathy and integrityBe an adaptive problem-solver with a strong grasp of operations across a vast geographical reachWork closely with the EP/CEO and Board supporting effective governance and organisational healthBuild trust and rapport with staff, artists, government and community stakeholdersFoster a positive, culturally safe and inclusive workplace where children, young people, staff and artists from all backgrounds can thriveStrengthen and enable the team to develop and grow their impactAbout Corrugated Iron For more than forty years Corrugated Iron has been the Northern Territory's leading youth arts company.

We want our team to thrive both professionally and personally while contributing to meaningful impact with young people.Selection Criteria Proven management experience (at least 5 years) and strategic planning in arts, cultural, youth, education, or for-purpose organisationsProven track record in financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting reporting, compliance, and working with external finance Bookkeeper (or equivalent)Proven experience in business development, growing organisational resources through successful grants, high-level proposal writing and reportingStrong operational and project management experience, including program delivery, program producing, organisational systems, and the ability to modernise workflows and online systems to improve efficiencyExcellent written and verbal communication and relationship management skills, engaging staff, artists, young people, community members and government stakeholders from a range of different backgrounds positivelyAbility to manage competing priorities and timelines with adaptability, creativity, and accountabilityCommitment to Corrugated Iron's vision and values, particularly youth leadership, arts engagement, and capacity-building.Tertiary qualifications in Arts Management, Business, Finance, related fields or equivalent experienceKnowledge of the NT arts, youth, education, and community sectors, and experience working with First Nations communitiesExperience in modernising organisational systems Understanding of WHS, HR, and not-for-profit governance complianceOther Requirements Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card) and Police CheckDriver's licence Flexibility to work evenings/weekends as requiredSubject to six-month probationary period.To find out more about Corrugated Iron, the position description and how to apply please download the General Manager Info Pack on our website.Get free newsletters full of the best in Australian arts news, jobs and more delivered to your inbox!
