Key Role Summary
A highly skilled Mammography Technologist is sought to perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams utilizing advanced 2D/3D equipment.
The successful candidate will provide interpreting Radiologists with accurate clinical history of patient signs and symptoms, ensuring exceptional patient care.
Main Responsibilities
* Conduct mammogram exams on patients in a professional manner.
* Gather comprehensive patient history, prior films/reports, and any other supportive information required for quality exam results.
* Maintain Quality Control (QC) for FDA/ACR compliance to ensure the highest standards.
* Provide imaging support to other modalities within the center.
* Collaborate with radiology teams for efficient communication and coordination.
Qualifications & Requirements
* High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associate's Degree preferred.
* Certificate from College or Technical School with emphasis on Mammography Program (State approved).
* ARRT (M) certification as well as State License if applicable.
* CPR certification and valid state driver's license are also necessary.
* Meet initial requirements under MQSA standards for excellence in patient care.
* Excellent customer service skills, organizational and multi-tasking abilities, along with basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
Workplace Conditions
Working conditions may include exposure to strong magnetic fields, blood/body fluids, and infectious diseases.
This role involves sitting, standing, walking, repetitive movement of hands, arms, and legs, seeing, speaking, and hearing more than 50% of the time.
Slightly less than 50% of the time includes stooping, kneeling, crawling, climbing, balancing, carrying, and lifting non-ambulatory patients.
