Opportunity
Due to our sustained growth, we are currently seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Adelaide. A talented engineer with experience on projects ranging from conceptual design to detailed engineering. This position reports directly to the Structural Team Lead and involves working on a diverse array of projects across the Energy, Chemicals and Mineral Processing industries. You’ll be involved in the entire detailed design process, from concept to detailed design.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead structural engineering for processing plant facilities from concept through to detailed design and construction.
* Perform design calculations for structural steel and concrete, providing input to the design team.
* Lead and perform tasks and deliverables within the agreed budget, schedule and project scope.
* Prepare complete technical specifications, engineering scope, and other documentation.
* Assist with proposals to provide professional services.
* Support continuous improvement of engineering standards, systems and processes.
* Actively collaborate and influence others through positive behaviours.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
* Minimum 8 years’ experience in design, consultancy or operational engineering.
* Bachelor of Engineering (Civil/Structural).
* Experience in Heavy Industry, Minerals Processing, Energy or Chemicals industry preferred.
* Demonstrated experience performing design calculations.
* Provide design input to and check 3D models and drawings.
* Sound understanding of project management principles and controls.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, both written and verbal.
* Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and critically.
* Attention to detail, clear and concise technical report writing.
* Proactive and goal‑oriented approach to work.
