Job Summary
This permanent part-time role presents an excellent opportunity to advance your career as a Chaplain and make a meaningful impact in our aged care home.
Your Role:
As a Chaplain, you will provide person-centred spiritual and pastoral care to our customers, their carers, staff and volunteers. Your key responsibilities include compassionate listening, assessing spiritual and pastoral needs, and delivering effective spiritual care initiatives.
You will also conduct worship services, staff devotions, funerals, memorial services, and other rites of passage. Additionally, you will participate in case management reviews, contribute to care plans, support and encourage BaptistCare staff and volunteers, document pastoral contacts, report activities, attend team meetings, and manage a team of Pastoral Care Volunteers.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Tertiary qualifications in chaplaincy / pastoral care or theological qualifications with a willingness to undertake chaplaincy / pastoral care specific training within the first 12 months of employment.
* A high level of Christian spiritual maturity with a pastoral heart.
* Active involvement in a local Christian Church.
* Chaplaincy or pastoral care experience.
* A current 'Working with Children Check.'
* Experience working in collaborative, multi-disciplinary settings.
* A willingness to undergo a police check.

Desirable Experience:
* An understanding of the spiritual and pastoral needs of those living with dementia, loss, grief, and bereavement, long-term illness, relationship disharmony, mental health, disability, loneliness, or those receiving palliative care.
* Visiting clients in homes and hospitals as appropriate.
