We are currently looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to join our busy Bunbury practice on a Part Time basis.
About you
Due to our internal training you do not need a qualification. However, experience as a Dental Assistant will be highly regarded.
* Certificate III/IV in Dental Assisting is preferred, but not necessary
* Minimum of 1 years' experience working as a Dental Assistant
ORcurrently undertaking studies in Certificate III/IV in Dental Assisting (HLT35015/HLT35021)
* Enjoy interacting with others and working in a fast paced environment
* The ability to provide excellent customer service and develop an exceptional level of patient care
* Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
* Show attention to detail, time management and organisational skills
* Interested in learning new skills and technologies, and achieving ongoing professional development in the dental health services industry.
About the position
We currently have x1 Part Time Dental Assistant position available.
The candidate would also need to be available for occasional Saturday morning shifts.
A typical day of a Dental Assistant
Our Dental Assistants enjoy a variety of responsibilities ensuring no two days are the same.
Working alongside the dentists and dental therapists, our support team provides chairside assistance with a broad range of dental procedures – including the preparation and clean-up of procedures, passing instruments and materials, processing x-rays and operating the suction apparatus. Our Dental Assistants maintain an exceptionally high standard of infection control and are responsible for processing and sterilising instruments throughout the day.
Our Dental Assistants also act as a first point of contact for patients in reception, developing vital skills such as processing claims and payments, updating patient records, scheduling appointments and handling patient enquiries.
