Join a respected National Civil Contracting business delivering high-quality civil construction projects across regional WA. We’re seeking a capable Project Engineer to drive project success from Tender through to Completion, working within a well-established team and reporting directly to the Construction Manager. This is a “lifestyle” role based in Bunbury, known as the gateway to WA’s stunning south‑west region that is globally renowned for its world‑class wineries and stunning coastal beaches. As Project Engineer you’ll coordinate project activities, support strong stakeholder relationships across government and private clients, and lead teams within a safety‑first culture. Some travel will be required depending on project locations with free accommodation, meals, and remote allowances provided when working away. Your Responsibilities
Plan and resource projects in line with scope, client requirements, and budget. Lead strong cost management from tender through delivery, including budgets, forecasting, and cost‑to‑complete tracking. Oversee contract compliance, variations, claims, and monthly financial reporting. Manage all project quality requirements to ensure high technical standards. Coordinate engineering activities and ensure SWMS, Special Processes, and corrective actions are implemented. Develop and award subcontract packages with accurate scoping, sound commercial conditions, and best‑value outcomes. Analyse and maintain project programs, tracking progress and implementing mitigation where needed. Ensure EBA compliance and actively support a strong safety culture. What You Bring
Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering (or related). 2+ Years proven experience delivering civil infrastructure projects up to $20m for civil contractors. Strong commercial, forecasting, and cost control capability. Ability to maintain positive client relationships and meet contractual obligations. Proactive problem‑solving approach with the ability to spot and address issues early. MRWA specification knowledge (desirable). Flexibility to travel on roster basis (ie. 5/2, 10/4 or 2/1) depending on project location. Why This Role?
