About the position:
The Senior Cook will be responsible for the quality production of meals and food services to the village. This includes ensuring that the kitchen, service and dining room facilities are cleaned and sanitised.
Responsibilities:
* Food preparation: preparing ingredients, cooking meals and ensuring proper presentation of dishes.
* Maintaining cleanliness: keeping the kitchen, utensils and workspaces clean and sanitised to ensure food safety.
* Menu planning: assisting in planning and preparing menus, considering food cost, dietary needs and seasonal ingredients.
* Managing stock and inventory: monitoring inventory levels and ensuring food supplies are well-stocked, fresh and rotated properly.
* Following safety standards: adhering to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage and temperature controls.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate has great customer service skills, ability to work unsupervised and must have a friendly and caring disposition. Excellent award rates apply.
