About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join the Group FP&A team.
This role will see you partner with GMs across Finance and the broader business to transform the way Coles Group approaches its business-wide planning cycles, incorporating a financial modelling-led approach for budgeting, forecasting and the corporate plan, including the introduction of rolling forecast.
Please note: this role is a 12-month fixed term contract, parental leave cover.
You will also;
- Design, develop and implement appropriate change programs to lead Finance and, where required, the broader business through the transformation
- Work closely with data & reporting colleagues to determine how best to leverage existing and future assets in simplifying and improving planning cycles, including the provision of performance management insight and analysis to senior management and the board
- Work with finance planning and finance transformation colleagues, engage senior leaders across Finance to ensure a collaborative approach to the design and implementation of change programs
- Better utilise financial systems for development and capture of financial targets
About you and your skills
Focused on process transformation, this role requires strong change management experience, with the innate curiosity to ask why; why do we do our budgets when we do them, could we be using our systems better, how do we simplify, how do we improve our interactions, and so forth.
You'll also have:
- CA/CPA (or similar) qualified
- Strong influential persona to work across all finance areas
- Proven experience in FP&A roles in large, complex organisations
- Highly developed understanding of planning cycles, and the best practice processes, systems and resources required
- Advanced communication and presentation skills (verbal and written), ability to present complex concepts clearly and concisely to enable decision making at a senior level
