Offer description

Overview

$98,944 - $128,013 + Super + Salary Packaging. Indie School Ipswich is hiring teachers to commence in full-time permanent positions in Term 4 (2025) and for 2026.

We want teachers with a passion for education and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of young learners. Whether you are newly graduated or experienced, primary or secondary trained, if your practice is founded on unconditional positive regard and the belief that young people can re-engage with learning and experience success through a strengths-based approach to education, this role may be for you.

As an independent special assistance school with a growing national network of campuses, Indie School aims to reengage students with learning, improve literacy and numeracy skills and help them find their future pathway, whether returning to a mainstream school, engaging in post-secondary study, or joining the workforce.

Indie School provides young people with the opportunity to learn in a supportive environment using the principles of adult education: agency, independence, mutual respect and accountability. Small classes, individual plans, expertly created units of work, and specialised staff assist our students to use their strengths to develop understanding and skills in their areas of challenge.

We believe education is about empowering students to become confident, independent thinkers and problem solvers. We are looking for teachers who can bring creativity, enthusiasm, and a commitment to student-centred learning to our team.

Through prioritising safety, respect and engagement we create a culture in our school which facilitates belonging and success. Flexible timetables (students attend Monday to Thursday), no uniforms and the provision of meals allow us to concentrate on kines facets of an optimal learning environment – regulation, relationship and routine.

If you would like to join a dynamic community of educators seeking to change the lives of young people lesson by lesson, we encourage you to apply for a position with us.
