Leading and supporting a motivated and high-performing team of 20 team members, you will enjoy maintaining a positive team culture whilst enhancing the capability and skills within the team. You will offer guidance in the areas of safety, people, quality, training and governance and work closely with various internal and external stakeholders to meet business objectives.
What Will You Do?
As a driven and proactive leader committed to the safety of people and operations, you will:
* conduct thorough active handover processes at shift rotation to ensure all machinery, work areas, and processes are secure, safe, and any issues or updates are clearly communicated
* oversee day-shift scheduling, coordinating incoming and outgoing deliveries, external contractors, loading and unloading, and all related operational planning
* regularly walk the operations floor to monitor team wellbeing and safety, ensure machinery functionality, and ensure smooth operations
* inspect equipment, site and products for faults throughout the shift and promptly report any issues to maintenance and relevant stakeholders
* conduct regular safety audits in collaboration with team members, ensuring timely implementation and closure of all identified corrective actions
* seek and drive continuous improvement initiatives to develop the performance and efficiency of production, quality, and delivery of products and services
More About You
With a continuous improvement mindset, and ability to manage time and tasks effectively, you will also bring:
* technical and logistical knowledge and understanding
* problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to communicate difficult feedback and information clearly and appropriately to the right audience
* leadership and communication skills with ability to guide, mentor and lead team members
