About the role
This exciting opportunity will see you lead the development and coordination of technical education programs for Canon Medical's Service Engineers across Australia and New Zealand. You will play a key role in designing and delivering high-quality e-Learning content and competency endorsement programs that support both local and global training initiatives.
Working closely with the Executive Manager - Service, internal subject matter experts and global subsidiaries, you will ensure that e-Course content is aligned with strategic goals, delivered effectively and continuously improved. This role requires a passion for education, strong project management skills and a keen interest in emerging training technologies and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with executive management, Japan headquarters, global subsidiaries and internal stakeholders to design and implement technical training and competency endorsement programs.
Work with LMS administrators to maximise the value of shared global training materials.
Maximise the quality, value, product coverage, timely release, and update of company produced e-Course content used both locally and globally. Making sure that all e-Course deliverables are within scope and budget.
Be actively involved in all phases of technical content development projects, employing a collaborative, agile design approach.
Develop a project plan and carry out all duties in a manner consistent with the Service Strategy.
Plan and schedule realistic timelines for development of e-Course modules and materials, including piloting, reviewing, and releasing.
Actively produce, gather, and collate video content from available sources such as equipment installations, existing customer sites, and Canon training facilities.
Actively produce high quality e-Course content using all available tools and resources.
Ensure e-Course content is portable to alternate delivery methods, such as Instructor Led training, Webinars, and Workshops, while maintaining best practice methodologies across all delivery methods.
Perform a leadership function in ensuring cohesion between all forms of Service education delivery and linking to the Career Development Matrix.
Our ideal candidate will possess:
Tertiary qualifications in workplace education. (Cert IV level or higher) is essential.
Tertiary qualification in electronics, electrical, biomedical or computing engineering is desirable.
Training course development and delivery experience is essential.
Driver's licence is essential.
WH&S certification through Canon LMS and external sources within 6 months of joining.
Microsoft product knowledge is essential.
Experience working on any medical imaging equipment is desirable.
Excellent organisational, time management skills and the ability to be self-directed.
Highly effective written and verbal communication skills.
Strong digital literacy skills.
Solid project management skills.
Excellent stakeholder management skills.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to contextualise training to student/client requirements.
Strong photographic/video and associated skills such as storyboarding, scripting, and direction.
Demonstrated experience in working with e-Learning platforms and developing e-Learning content (such as SAP-Litmos).
Intermediate to advanced skills using authoring tools such as Articulate 360 suite, advanced video and audio editing, use of cloud-based video services (such as Vimeo/Panopto).
Capability to develop environments involving AR (Augmented Reality) and VR (Virtual Reality) desirable.
