You’ve built a solid foundation in accounting - you know your way around month-end deadlines, compliance, reconciliations, and the steady rhythm of financial reporting. You've mastered the details that keep everything running smoothly.
Now, you’re ready for something more – a role where you can lead a capable team, make an impact, and where your ideas for improving how things are done are genuinely valued.
As our Finance Team Lead, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day financial operations and ensure the CFO has reliable, high-quality financial information to support strategic analysis and decision-making. You’ll lead a small, experienced team across accounts payable, receivable, and payroll - ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance at every step.
This role is responsible for delivering accurate trial balance and financial results for CFO review and further analysis.
This is a hands‑on role that blends technical precision with practical leadership. You’ll manage month‑end reporting, statutory compliance, and audits, while identifying opportunities to streamline processes and strengthen internal controls. You’ll also mentor your team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
You’ll be part of a finance team that’s trusted to keep things running seamlessly, where your expertise and steady leadership make a visible difference every day.
About You
You may already be a Financial Accountant or Finance Manager, or an experienced accountant with a public practice background, ready to step into a broader leadership role. Either way, you’ll bring a calm, methodical approach and the confidence to guide others.
You’re the kind of person who thrives on structure and precision, but also sees the value in improving how things are done. You take pride in accuracy and reliability – and you understand the importance of leading by example and meeting tight deadlines.
We’re looking for someone who can:
- Lead and support a small finance team with professionalism and accountability
- Manage the full spectrum of financial accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, month‑end close, compliance, and audit preparation.
- Deliver timely and compliant financial reporting
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen internal controls
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders across all levels of the business
You’ll also bring:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Proven experience leading or mentoring team members, or formal leadership training
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of compliance obligations
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
You take pride in doing things well, and in helping those around you do the same.
