Stella Industrial provides Industrial Services to the Oil and Gas, Mining, Agriculture, Defence, Maintenance and Construction Sectors and we are seeking a candidate with a background within these markets to support our growing business and Supervisory team.
A background in Industrial coatings, Scaffolding, Insulation Hot / Cold, CNC Laser cutting and Sheetmetal fabrication, Rubber Lining, Mechancial are preferable but not neccessary if the candidate can demonstrate a history of positive leadership performance.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
* Lead and mentor supervisory teams to deliver strong operational outcomes
* A minimum of 8+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience is required to effectively lead and mentor operational teams.
* Create a culture of accountability, teamwork, and high performance for current teams
* Provide leadership, coaching, and support to supervisors and frontline teams
* Support career pathways and training for current and future operational leaders
Financial Performance
* Manage operational financial performance, including budgets, labour efficiency, utilisation, and cost control
* Demonstrated financial management experience in any capacity is required to effectively oversee operational financial performance.
* Monitor profitability across operational activities and identify improvement opportunities
* Drive productivity and operational efficiencies while maintaining quality outcomes
KPI Development & Performance Management
* Develop, implement, and manage meaningful KPIs for supervisory teams
* Monitor team and project performance against agreed targets
* Hold supervisors accountable to safety, productivity, financial, and people performance outcomes
Safety & Compliance
* Champion a strong safety-first culture across all operations
* Ensure compliance with WHS requirements, company systems, and client expectations
* Lead safety initiatives, incident management, and continuous improvement practices
Business Growth & Improvement
* Identify opportunities for operational improvement and sustainable growth
* Contribute to business strategy and expansion initiatives
* Support client relationships and operational delivery to maximise repeat business opportunities
About You
You are a natural leader who understands how to balance people, performance, and commercial outcomes.
You will ideally have:
* Proven leadership experience in an operational or supervisory environment
* Strong financial acumen and experience managing operational performance and budgets
* Experience establishing and measuring KPIs and team accountability frameworks
* A strong commitment to safety leadership and compliance
* The ability to identify opportunities for growth, efficiency, and continuous improvement
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Experience within industrial services, maintenance, shutdowns, scaffolding, coatings, construction, mining, or similar industries will be highly regarded
