Overview
Leading Australian Private Credit investment manager specialising in real estate and mid-market corporate debt solutions. Investments are underpinned by a rigorous risk management framework, enabling solid returns and sustainable growth for investors. They operate across the capital structure with a focus on development capital including senior and mezzanine debt, preferred equity, and equity, and are active in direct property acquisition and syndication.
This newly created role is for a Director Real Estate Private Credit (Risk) to join the team. Based in Sydney or Melbourne and reporting to the Head of Investment Risk, you will work closely with the wider Real Estate business unit to ensure effective, accurate and timely delivery of analysis and investment papers across senior debt, mezzanine debt and equity transactions.
You will also manage ongoing project and investment monitoring, as well as the management of systems and databases to ensure accurate data flow to investors, finance and management. A key success factor will be driving business success through high quality and accurate transaction analysis with ad-hoc project work when appropriate.
Responsibilities
- Deliver analysis and investment papers across a variety of senior debt, mezzanine debt and equity transactions.
- Manage ongoing project and investment monitoring.
- Oversee systems and databases to ensure accurate data flow to investors, finance and management.
- Drive business success through high quality and accurate transaction analysis; undertake ad-hoc project work as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualified with 10-15 years’ experience in structured real estate finance, gained in banking, non-banking or private credit environments.
- Deep experience across the local property sector, including direct credit risk underwriting and analysis on transactions above A$50m.
- Proven project management skills for complex deals with multiple lending counterparties.
- Experience reviewing finance and security documentation, providing investment structuring advice, and advanced financial modelling including cash flow oversight and investment return analysis.
