The Opportunity
In this key role - which covers technical supervision of plant operations - you will be an integral part of the production and the sales processes - designing & monitoring the performance of concrete mixes; ensuring quality & compliance of raw materials; liaising with laboratories to ensure testing requirements and frequencies are met and engaging with various stakeholders to address their technical needs. You will ensure adherence to and active improvement of documented quality systems and technical standards and maintain ongoing and vigilant monitoring of product performance and trends.
The role has come about through an exciting acquisition and requires a high level of technical support to Operations, Sales and Customers while also supporting existing business and assisting to increase our involvement in the Fibres and Burnished Floor market.
Responsibilities
You will comply with the requirements of the SHE Management System and assist in selling our technical capability to customers, while correctly and ethically representing our products and services. Further and detailed responsibilities are found in the PD which is available upon request and will include:
* Ongoing testing, monitoring and tracking of quarry and concrete product performance in line with Australian Standards and project requirements.
* Providing timely and accurate technical advice to Account Managers, Production Managers & Customers.
* Ensuring tender reviews are in accordance with QMS procedures and levels of authority.
About You
To succeed in this key position an advantage will be a tertiary qualification or diploma i.e. in Materials Engineering, Science or related disciplines and you must have credible industry technical experience in aggregates, civil construction, concrete or closely related industries.
It is desirable, but not essential that you have completed a CCAA concrete practice course and have NATA Lab experience and experience in Microsoft Office Applications in particular Word and Excel. TIMS, QEST LAB, SAP, Command, WEB Chris HR21 will be favourably looked upon.
Most important however is that you have lab experience, sound technical ability, a proactive attitude and a dedication to providing the highest standards of production, quality and safety.
