Job Description
The Shire of Collie is seeking a motivated, suitably qualified and enthusiastic professional to join the Development Services Directorate as a Manager Planning and Development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process development applications in accordance with Council's Local Planning Schemes and State Government directives.
* Prepare strategic town planning studies and implement relevant projects.
* Assist in developing annual budget submissions.
* Manage risks associated with compliance and oversee enforcement measures.
* Supervise and support the Planning and Development team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualifications in Town or Urban Planning.
* Experience in project and statutory planning, leadership, team management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* A strong understanding of relevant legislation within a Local Government context.
