Curator Opportunity at the SLA Display Village, Whitlam, Australia
Belco Arts is seeking early- to mid-career curators, or artists interested in expanding their practice into curation, for a paid curatorial role at the SLA Display Village in Whitlam. The selected curator will work under the mentorship of Belco Arts' Artistic Director, Monika McInerney, to curate two exhibition suites scheduled for February and July 2026. This flexible, part-time role offers an opportunity to develop hands-on curatorial experience and contribute to vibrant offsite exhibitions supported by the Suburban Land Agency.

This opportunity is ideally suited to an early/mid-career Curator or an Artist who would like to extend their practice further and gain curatorial experience.
As the Curator you will be instrumental in engaging with the region's artists to formulate 2 exhibition suites within three Whitlam Display Homes (each suite considered as 1 exhibition) in response to exhibition briefs that will be provided.
This role reports to and will be mentored by the Artistic Director and will also work alongside and be supported by a high-performing team of arts professionals, based in a state-of-the-art facility Belconnen Arts Centre by Lake Ginninderra.
Start Date: Late November / early December 2025
