About Us

Larvotto Resources (LVR) is developing the Hillgrove Antimony and Gold Project in Armidale, NSW. This project offers a unique opportunity to work within the mining industry and reside in the vibrant regional town of Armidale, renowned for its quality of life, educational institutions, and beautiful surroundings. Centrally located between Brisbane and Sydney, Armidale is just a short drive to the popular Coffs Coast.

Larvotto Resources is forging ahead with current ramp up activities on our Hillgrove Antimony and Gold project and we now are seeking the experience of a Drill & Blast Engineer to join our new onsite mining team on a residential or DIDO 8 days on, 6 days off roster (8/6) day shift roster.

Please note: Relocation Assistance will be offered for the preferred candidate.

About the Role

Reporting into the Superintendent, Mine Technical the Drill & Blast Engineer will be responsible for completion of drill and blast design, QAQC, reconciliations and general mining engineering support to the Mining team.

You will have the ability to engage and manage stakeholders at all levels; while having strong Underground mining experience with a practical understanding of underground drainage, power, air, water, ventilation and backfill techniques.

Key Responsibilities will include:

* Timely delivery of plans and designs for stakeholders, including reporting and document control
* Offer timely, high-quality and cost-effective engineering services to ensure production targets are consistently met or exceeded.
* Provide strategic insight and value to the continuous LOM plans.
* Coordinate drill and blast engineering activities with all relevant stakeholders.
* Contribute towards a strong team working culture within the Technical services team.
* Continually seeks to improve existing workplace practices.

About You

* Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline
* A minimum of 2 years experience in UG Mining industry (underground hard rock preferred).
* Experience in underground Mine Planning / Scheduling roles (well regarded)
* Practical underground experience (well regarded)
* Strong communication skills
* Proficient in Mine Planning / Scheduling software
* In-depth knowledge and understanding of Deswik software

Other Requirements

* Current valid Manual Drivers License
* First Aid Certification / CPR qualification, (highly desired)
* Must be able to provide a valid National Police Clearance (less than 6 months old), or undertake
* Unrestricted rights to work in Australia
* Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment, including drug and alcohol screening.
