The role of Senior Insurance Case Manager is a critical position within our organization.
As a seasoned insurance professional, you will be responsible for managing complex claims, including Total Permanent Disability (TPD), Income Protection (IP), Death, Terminal Illness, Family Law, and Early Release payments.
You will act as the Trustee Delegate, responsible for approving claim decisions and payments. Your work will support both internal teams and superannuation members navigating life-changing events.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and assess complex claims: Develop and implement effective strategies to manage and resolve complex claims in a timely and efficient manner.
* Act as the Trustee Delegate: Ensure that all claim decisions and payments are approved in accordance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
* Assess and manage applications for insurance cover: Conduct thorough assessments of applications for insurance cover, including underwriting decisions.
* Provide technical guidance and support: Offer expert advice and guidance to internal teams and external partners on insurance matters.
* Investigate and resolve complex queries: Thoroughly investigate and resolve complex and escalated insurance queries with clarity and empathy.
* Draft comprehensive reports: Develop and submit comprehensive reports and recommendations for senior leadership and relevant committees.
About You
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual who possesses:
* Demonstrated experience in insurance claims management: A proven track record of successfully managing insurance claims, ideally within superannuation.
* Strong understanding of group life insurance: A deep knowledge of group life insurance definitions and investigative approaches.
* Advanced knowledge of superannuation legislation: A thorough understanding of superannuation regulations, trust deed interpretation, and relevant laws.
* High-level communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage sensitively with stakeholders.
* Analytical mindset: An analytical approach with excellent attention to detail and sound judgment.
