Defines project objectives in terms of duration and resources. Pilots the project status to ensure forecast reliability and may serve as the single point of accountability for all planning and scheduling activities on a project.
Job Description
1. Develops a schedule compliant with the selected execution strategy.
2. Plans to mitigate risks and reduce costs.
3. Defines and optimizes necessary resources (E-P-C-I).
4. Establishes the planning and scheduling system, including methods, procedures, time schedules, physical progress tracking, dashboards, etc.
5. Defines a realistic and feasible contract duration for the management, proposal manager, and estimation department.
6. Defines the project breakdown structures.
7. Supports client approval processes for the schedule baseline, progress claims, and milestone achievements.
8. Enhances project team awareness of milestones, main durations, and critical paths.
9. Monitors and controls project status, detects delays, and proposes corrective actions.
10. Estimates delays linked with changes and claims, and prepares extension of time analyses in case of client-related delays.
11. Provides project feedback and lessons learned to improve planning and scheduling methods and contributes to the planning department's statistics.
12. Serves as a technical referee and manages the planning and scheduling team (if any), mainly on small to medium-sized projects.
Qualifications
* Engineering degree or equivalent diploma.
* 5 to 7 years of experience in project execution.
* Proficient in scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera).
* Professional proficiency in English.
* Good knowledge of EPCI work processes and sequences.
* Basic understanding of the Global Business Process Management System (GBPMS).
* Ability to identify deviations from standards.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to present data and facts clearly and consistently.
* Thorough understanding of project delivery processes and principles.
* Good understanding of business principles in the Oil & Gas industry.
