Are you passionate about the arts, music and social sciences? We currently have an opportunity for a self-motivated and passionate Fundraising Officer to join the Advancement Portfolio in our Faculty of Arts and Culture.

As a fundraiser in our Arts and Culture team, you will be responsible for raising major financial gifts that will support projects and programs across the University.

You will develop relationships with high-net-worth donors, connecting their passions with work that could otherwise not be undertaken, or education opportunities to support the next generation of leaders and thinkers. You will build strong internal relationships with senior leaders to understand how their work can be aligned with donor passions, lifting the profile of philanthropy across the institution.

With support from across the Advancement Portfolio, you will build relationships through face-to-face meetings with donors, alumni and friends of the University, aiming to identify philanthropic motivations and align them with university priorities. Your work could support a student the opportunity to study at the University of Sydney, with tuition, accommodation and living expenses provided through a donor-supported scholarship, enabling them to dream and excel.. Philanthropic support also has the ability to accelerate research and public facing programs to connect and amplify the University's position as a leading education institution, meeting the strategic goals of the Sydney in 2032 Strategy.

About you The University values trust, accountability and excellence. As such, we see the importance of recruiting talent aligned to these values and are looking for a Fundraising Officer, who:

· Is a natural relationship builder - you enjoy interacting with people one-on-one and fostering relationships with a broad spectrum of people.

· Has excellent communication skills, both listening and written in order to develop compelling proposals that align to a prospective donor's interests.

· Is strategic in their vision and can plan months, sometimes even years in advance.

· Has highly developed emotional intelligence - you are self-aware with exceptional interpersonal skills

· Is a high-achiever and naturally driven by success both professionally and personally.

Benefits Of Working with Us In addition to having the opportunity to grow and be challenged, and to be part of a vibrant campus life, our people enjoy a range of rewarding benefits:

· Flexible working arrangements and generous personal, parental and cultural leave

· Competitive remuneration, 17% super, salary packaging and leave loading

· Free and subsidised health and wellbeing services, and access to fitness and cultural clubs

· Subsidised on campus parking

· Discounts on a wide range of products and services

· Career development opportunities

· And many more…

Similarly, your ongoing employment is conditional upon the satisfactory maintenance of all relevant clearances and background check requirements. If you do not meet these conditions, the University may take any necessary step, including the termination of your employment.
